Zero Litter Campaign Programme: The Programme was organized by the Sub-Divisional Officer(Civil),Sohra in collaboration with various clubs, stakeholders and associations in Sohra. It was declared on the 24th September 2015 Shri. Nipon Hajong, SDO(Civil),Sohra of Sohra Civil Sub-division the chairman then briefed the house with a power point presentation about the initiative taken by the office of the Sub-Divisional Officer(Civil),Sohra for declaring zero littering zone in Sohra starting from Mawkdok bridge to Mawlong village covering almost 48 Km stretch along the PWD road and all tourist spots of Sohra. The members present in the meeting viz., the Headman, Sordar, NGOs and individuals deliberated actively in discussion and welcomed the steps taken by the office of the SDO(Civil),Sohra and having plenary discussion about the strategies the following resolutions are adopted for enforcement with effect from the 2nd October 2015.
