Meritorious  Students  Felicitated , Sohra July 5 th , 2013

The  Office  of  the  Sub-Divisional  Officer (C ) Sohra  in  collaboration  with  the  office  of  the  Sub-Divisional  School  Education  Officer, Sohra  has  organised  a  program- me  to  felicitate  meritorious  students  who  fared  well  in  the  last  H.S.L.C  & S.S.L.C  Examinations  conducted  by  M.B.O.S.E   on  Friday  last  at  Ram  Krishna  Mission  H .S. School   Hall  wherein  Shri. T.W.Chyne, M.L.A & M.D.C was the Chief-guest.


Speaking  on  the  occasion  Mr.Chyne  said  that  the  programme   serves  as  an  inspirational   platform  for  those  who  aspire  to  achieve  success  in  future. He  therefore  congratulate  students  for  bringing  honour  to  this  area  especially  teachers  and  parents  for  contributing  much  towards  the  success  of  their  children.  'There  is  rapid  growth  in  education  in  Sohra' he  exclaimed  with  joy. He  therefore  urged  upon  the  student  community  to  work  hard  and  expect  them  to  bring  laurels  not  only  to this  area  but  to  the  state  as  a  whole. He  then  wished  them  the  best  with  a  hope  to  do  more  things  for  the  students  of  this  area. He then felicitated students who secured top positions with mementos. Miss  Ilapynsuklin  Khongsti  of  Kyntiew  Shaphrang  H.S. School , Laitlyngkot  a  differently  able  student  was  amongst  those  who  had  been  felicitated.


Shri.C.V.D. Diengdoh, Sub-Divisional  Officer (C) , Sohra , Fr.Patrick  Nongrang ,Principal St. John Bosco Boys H.S. School  and  Swami  Amiteshananda, Principal  Ram Krishna H.S. School  also  spoke  on  the  occasion.

 

Cultural  programme  was  the  order  of  the  day.


Earlier, Shri.V.Nianglang, Sub Inspector  of  School, Sohra  who  chaired  the  function  delivered  the  welcome  address  while  Smt.M.Pde, Sub Divisional  School  Education  Officer, Sohra  offered  the  vote  of  thanks.
