Motivational   Programme  Held  At  Sohra March 14 th , 2013

 

The  office  of  the  Sub-Registrar  of  Cooperative  Society,Sohra  has  organized  a  one day  motivational  programme  on  the  theme “Cooperative  movement  in  the  area  through  Co-operative  Society” on  Wednesday  last  at  Saitsohpen  community  hall,Sohra  where  the  Sub-Divisional  Officer (C ), Sohra, Shri.C.V.D.Diengdoh  was  the  Chief Guest  and  Shri.R.Wahlang , E.A.C,Sohra  as  Guest  of  Honour.  

         
The  programme  was  sponsored  by the  office  of  the  Registrar  of  Cooperative  Societies,Meghalaya,Shillong.


Speaking  on  the  occasion,Mr.Diengdoh  lauded  the  efforts   of  the  staff  of  the  department  for  organizing  such   a  meaningful  programme  with  a  view  to  provide  training  to  the  people  to  be  self  sufficient  and  be  enter prised  in  whatever  they  do. He  also  emphasized  upon  the  need  of  expansion  and  strengthening  of  cooperative  societies  in  sectors  where  there  is  lack  of  development  in  respective  villages. Transportation, Tourism, Sanitation  etc. are  sectors  that  needed  to  be  form  as  cooperative  societies, he  added. He  further  stated  that  this  area  has  potentialities  that  needs  to  be  tapped  and  explored  in  order  to  enhance  and  promotes  small  business  enterpreneurs  to  benefit  people  at  the  micro  level. He  urged  upon  people  to  avail  the  benefits  offered  through  Integrated  Basin  Development & Livelihood  Programme  which  focus  on  rural  economy  in  sectors  like  aquaculture, tourism, apiculture  etc. in  the  upliftment  of  the  economy of  the  people  of  this  area , He  then  wished  the  programme  a  success.


Shri. R.Wahlang, E.A.C, Sohra  and  Smt.J.Kharsohnoh, Assistant  Registrar, East  Khasi  Hills ,Shillong  also  spoke  on  the  occasion.


Earlier,Smt. K.Syiem, Sub-Registrar, Cooperative  Society, Sohra  Sub-Division  delivered  the  welcome  address  while  Shri.A.Wahlang, Junior  Coope-rative  Officer, Sohra  offered  the  vote  of  thanks.
